
Basketball Foursome Named to ASUN All-Decade Team

Honorees spanned eight programs, with North Florida, FGCU and Lipscomb leading the way with four student-athletes each named to the All-Decade Team followed by two from both Liberty and USC Upstate.

Beau Beech, North Florida (2012-16)
- Beech finished his career ranked third all-time in ASUN history with 302 treys made, which currently sits in fourth. He is also ranked 38th on the conference's all-time scoring list with 1,557 career points which ranked ninth in the decade. A three-time Player of the Week and two-time First Team All-Conference selection, Beech helped lead the Ospreys to the 2014-15 ASUN Championship title.
Demarcus Daniels, North Florida (2012-16)
- One of three players in ASUN history to be named the Defensive Player of the Year twice, Daniels also earned three consecutive All-Academic Team honors while leading North Florida to the ASUN Championship in 2015 and a pair of Regular Season titles. Daniels concluded his career with 1,022 points and 179 blocks which rank ninth in league history.
Dallas Moore, North Florida (2013-17)
- One of only three players to be named ASUN Player of the Year twice in his career (2016-17; 2015-16), Moore was also named the 2013-14 Freshman of the Year and is a three-time First Team All-Conference pick. In 2016-17, he scored 812 points with 299 field goals made which ranked first and second, respectively, in ASUN single-season history. On the career conference charts, he is second in field goals (904), third in points (2,437), eighth in assists (551) and 13th in three-pointers (275). Moore was also a three-time All-Tournament Team member and seven-time Player of the Week honoree while leading North Florida to the 2015 Championship title.
- A two-time All-Tournament Team member (2018-19), Sams concluded his North Florida career ranked 23rd in three-pointers (241), 29th in free throw percentage (80.2) and 39th in points (1,538) on the ASUN charts. He helped the Ospreys claim the ASUN Regular Season title in 2019-20 while being named to the All-Conference First Team.
Over the past 10 years, six programs have captured ASUN Championship titles in FGCU (3), Belmont (2), Liberty (2), Lipscomb (1), Mercer (1) and North Florida (1), while the Eagles and Ospreys both won a conference-high three ASUN Regular Season crowns over the past decade. Belmont, Liberty and Mercer all have a pair of regular-season crowns, while Lipscomb collected one. ASUN squads notched five NCAA Tournament victories during the decade, the most of any other previous 10-year span, headlined by FGCU's Sweet 16 run in 2013. Liberty (2019) and Mercer (2014) also earned First Round wins while FGCU added a 2016 First Four victory, its third NCAA Tournament win of the decade.
To be named to the All-Decade Team an individual must have competed for at least two years in the decade as an ASUN student-athlete. Individuals that obtained one of the following criteria were named to the team; three First Team All-Conference selections, four All-Conference selections, multiple Scholar-Athlete/Player of the Year honors, 1,500 career points or 1,000 career rebounds.
Individuals that obtained at least three of the following criteria were also named to the team; Player/Freshman/Defensive Player/Newcomer/Scholar-Athlete of the Year, three All-Conference selections, two First Team All-Conference selections, Tournament MVP.
