North Florida earns No. 5 seed in ASUN Championship
DeLAND, Fla. - North Florida women's basketball used a third quarter barrage to take the lead and continued to fight down the stretch as it defeated Stetson, 62-60, to earn the No. 5 seed in the upcoming ASUN Championship.Â

North Florida (15-14, 8-8 ASUN) used a 28-6 run in the third quarter into the fourth to take its biggest lead of the game.

Senior Dasha Eremeeva had a turnaround jumper through traffic to give North Florida the go-ahead basket with 15 seconds to play.

- Neither team really found a rhythm with Stetson (12-17, 6-10 ASUN) holding a 14-12 lead after one.
- The Ospreys pulled ahead 21-19, but the Hatters used an 11-2 run to close out the frame and take a 30-23 halftime lead.
- The teams traded baskets in the early goings of the third before Eremeeva sparked the 28-6 stretch to lead, 57-46 with 6:28 in the fourth.
- Stetson then went on its own run, 13-2, aided by 10 points from Day'Neshia Banks to go ahead 60-59.
- With time winding down, Eremeeva gathered the ball inside the paint and hit a turnaround jumper to put UNF up 61-60.Â
- Tiffany Tolbert hit a free throw and the Osprey defense kept the Hatters off the board for the final minute to grab the win.

- Victoria Patrick had all eight of her points inside the Ospreys long run with two triples and a driving lay up.
- The game saw eight lead changes and seven tie scores.

- Stetson had 11 three-pointers which was the second most UNF has surrendered all season.
