LYNCHBURG, Va. - Liberty controlled the paint and it proved to be costly for North Florida women's basketball as the Ospreys fell 76-54 Monday at the Vines Center.

Liberty ended the first quarter on a 13-0 run and never looked back.

The teams were even until the media timeout when Liberty went on an 18-3 run that lasted into the second quarter as the hosts led, 25-13.
Tolbert ended the scoreless streak with a three in the corner, but the closest the Ospreys would get for the quarter was 38-23.
Liberty extended its lead to 24 by the end of the third quarter.

Osprey Fast Breaks

The Flames scored 20 or more points in each of the first three quarters.
UNF shot just 36 percent to Liberty's 58 percent.
The hosts handled play in the paint, 42-18, while also converting 19 points off the Ospreys 14 turnovers.

North Florida has a week to prep for its final regular season game against Stetson in DeLand, Fla., March 3. The game could have implications on the final seeding for the ASUN Championship beginning March 7.
