
Track and Field Announces 2021 Schedule

JACKSONVILLE - Head coach Jeff Pigg announces the 2021 North Florida track and field schedule set to open March 27 at the FSU Invite in Tallahasse, Fla.Â
"We are really excited to get back to competition. Both teams have been working since March knowing that at some point we would have an opportunity to compete," said head coach Jeff Pigg. "We look forward to seeing the gains that have been made throughout this COVID period. The cross country schedule consists of three really good opportunities highlighted by the ASUN Championships March 5. At this point the outdoor track schedule is back to business as usual with great meets at Florida, Florida State and here at home."Â
North Florida hosts the final regular season meet, the UNF Invitational, April 29-30. The Ospreys then host the ASUN Championship (May 14-15) and the NCAA East Regionals (May 27-29).Â

THE SCHEDULE
The Ospreys stay in Florida for the 2021 Outdoor season with meets at Florida State, Florida, UCF and hosting the UNF Invitational. North Florida travels to Gainesville, Fla. for the Florida Relays (April 1-3) and the Tom Jones Invite (April 16-17). UNF travels to UCF for its final road meet April 24 at the UCF Invite.North Florida hosts the final regular season meet, the UNF Invitational, April 29-30. The Ospreys then host the ASUN Championship (May 14-15) and the NCAA East Regionals (May 27-29).Â

Top Times 2020 ASUN Indoor Championships
- Jared Vazquez, Spencer Shaw, George Escobar and Timothy Doyle placed first in the distance medley relay with a time of 10:01.78
- Jared Vazquez (4:09.32) placed third in the mile
- Nathan Jubran claimed the Ospreys' second bronze medal in the 5000m, covering the track in 14:17.83
- George Escobar placed second in the 400m with a time of 48.48
- Sophomore Lydia van Dijk placed third in the 3000m, covering the track in 9:39.03, a personal record.
Top Marks 2020 ASUN Indoor Championships
- Jaasiel Torres claimed his second straight conference title in the high jump with a mark of 2.09m (6' 10 ¼")
- Junior Louisa Washburn set an ASUN record in the pole vault with a mark of 3.96m (12' 11 ¾"), placing firstÂ
- Sophomore Kaley Petrosky placed third in the high jump with a mark of 1.68m (5' 6")
