Broermann Has Career Day against Edward Waters

JACKSONVILLEÂ - It was an all-around team effort from North Florida women's basketball, but Emma Broermann highlighted the stat sheet with her double-double as the Ospreys defeated Edward Waters 93-35 on Sunday afternoon at UNF Arena.
The Ospreys came out of the break with an 18-0 run and never looked back. During the stretch, Broermann and Mackins each scored seven points.

North Florida turns its attention to two SEC opponents as it travels to Auburn on Thursday, Dec. 17 before heading south to Gainesville to take on the Gators for the first time since 2014 on Monday, Dec. 21. The game was originally slated for December 22.

INSIDE THE GAME
- North Florida owned the lead from start to finish, taking its biggest lead in the final minute of the game as when Broermann scored her last bucket of the game.Â
- In the first half, UNF kept Edward Waters to just four points, with the second bucket coming late in the frame.
- The Tigers tried to creep back in during the second quarter as the Ospreys held a slight 21-19 edge to lead 41-23 at the half.
- UNF opened the third quarter with an 18-0 run and never looked back as it allowed just 12 points in the second half.
Osprey Fast Breaks
- Every player who saw the floor scored at least one point and grabbed at least three rebounds.
- North Florida shot 56.9 percent which is the third highest in program history.
- Freshman Summah Evans narrowly missed a double-double with 11 points and nine rebounds in her first career start.
- After being selected as the ASUN Player of the Week, Rhetta Moore helped out on the other side of the stats with nine rebounds, nine assists and five points.
- Garnering her first start, Nubia Benedith tallied nine points, six rebounds, five assists and five steals. Her swipes were the most since January 5, 2019.
- Mackins made six three-pointers for the second time this season and becomes the fifth player to shoot 100 percent with five or more makes. Adrienne Jackson was the last to be perfect from outside the arc against Liberty (Feb. 23, 2019).
