Against Our Opponent

• UNF is 7-1 against Georgia Southern
• North Florida is 4-0 against Georgia Southern in Jacksonville.
• The last time they faced off in dual competition was in 2014.
• The first-ever meeting was in 2006, a 5-2 win for the Ospreys.
• North Florida competed at the Georgia Southern Championships Nov. 1-3, 2019.

Taking Inventory

• UNF returns six letterwinners and two seniors in Federico Nani and Charley Castaing.
• UNF's two newcomers are freshman PJ Kotan and sophomore transfer, Matt Carroll.
• Carroll is a transfer from ASA College in Miami where he was a Flight 5 Singles Title winner at the NJCAA National Tournament.
• Head coach Matt Lucas enters his third season leading the Ospreys. Lucas helped the Ospreys to the 2018 ASUN Championship and is 36-33 in his career as a head coach.
• Assistant coach Bart Van Leijsen was hired as an assistant July of 2019. Van Leijsen is from Gronigen, Netherlands and played four seasons of tennis at the University of New Mexico.
• Sophomore Dominik Barton went 21-11 as a freshman en route to All-ASUN Freshman Team and Second Team honors.

In Season Openers

• The Ospreys are 6-8 in season openers during the program's Division I era.
• North Florida took down Louisiana, 4-1, in the season opener a year ago.
• UNF has never opened the spring season at home.
• The last two spring season openers have seen UNF play in Tallahassee.

Georgia Southern

• Georgia Southern's singles record was 51-35 after fall tournament play.
• The Eagles played at the Thomasville Invitational, Mercer Gridiron Classic, ITA Regional Championship and Georgia Southern Championships.
• GSU has already played six dual matches this season, facing Power Five opponents in Georgia Tech, Miami and Clemson.
• The roster features 10 players with four freshman and three seniors.
