LEADERBOARD: The No. 14 North Florida men's golf team had a strong performance in the opening round defense of the ASUN Championship, carding a 1-over 289 on Sunday at the Legends Course of Chateau Elan.
FIRST TEE
- Seniors Philip Knowles and Jordan Batchelor both finished in red numbers, firing rounds of 2-under 70 to share round one medalist honors
- Fellow senior Travis Trace opened with a 1-over 73 and ranks T6
- Freshman Cody Carroll shot a 76 in his ASUN Championship debut highlighted by a hole-in-one on the par 3, 124-yard Hole 7
- Senior Andrew Alligood rounded out the Osprey lineup with a 78 to rank T19 thru 18 holes of play
- North Florida's first round performance was the best in the field by eight shots

- North Florida's lineup featured two of the just four players that finished under-par in the opening round
