North Florida freshman Jaasiel Torres posted a PR in the high jump while collecting his second consecutive event title to highlight final round competition for Osprey men's track and field at the Georgia Tech Invitational on Saturday.

- Freshman Timothy Doyle tallied his second PR of the weekend, clocking a time of 1:50 in the 800m | Fellow freshman Jared Vazquez also had a solid second run of the meet

- Jaasiel Torres posted a PR mark of 2.10m (6-10.75) en route to finishing first in the event | Senior Bobby Harris finished second in the event with a solid jump of 2.00m (6-06.75)

COACH JEFF PIGG REMARKS
"Jaasiel had some very good jumps in the rain, especially his clearance of 2.10m which is a solid NCAA East Regional qualifying mark and led him to the event title. Bobby Harris also jumped well taking second. We focus on the high jump at UNF and these two did not disappoint. I'm proud of them. Timothy Doyle came back after a strong 1500 PR on Friday to post another PR of 1:50 in the 800m. He had a very good weekend. He is doing what he came to UNF to do and that is to run fast in the middle distances. Jared Vazquez also had a nice double, posting strong races in the 800m and 1500m. The cold stormy weather didn't slow us down. The team competed very well despite the conditions. They rise to the level of their competition and the meet gave us two days of quality performances. We head to Florida next week for the Tom Jones Memorial on Friday and Saturday with most of the squad, while our seniors will attend graduation."
