North Florida (8-5)
  • The Ospreys are coming off a 1-2 weekend at the Cox Diamond Invitational in Pensacola.
  • This is UNF's first meeting against an ACC school this year.
  • This is the second time UNF has faced a 10-0 team after playing undefeated No. 27 Tennessee last Saturday.

Last Time Out
PENSACOLA, Fla. - No. 27 Tennessee generated 10 runs on 26 base runners in game one and back-to-back-to-back UL - Monroe home runs felled the Ospreys in the night cap as UNF dropped a pair in their final day at the Cox Diamond Invitational Saturday, March 2.

Three in a Row
The Ospreys are racking up ASUN weekly laurels this season. Through three weeks UNF has garnered three such awards. Righty Max McKinley earned pitcher of the week honors (Feb. 18), center fielder Tanner Murphy earned player of the week honors (Feb. 25) and second baseman Jay Prather was tabbed with the same award Monday.

The Southpaw
Redshirt-junior Eddie Miller hasn't allowed a run through 11.1 innings of work to start the season. In six appearances the Ocala, Fla., native has garnered three saves, allowing only three hits and two walks while striking out 13. Opponents are only hitting .086 against the lefty. His three saves are tied for third in the nation.

Starting Off Hot
Jay Prather's ASUN Player of the Week recognition is well deserved. The senior is leading the team in hits (21), doubles (six), total bases (33), slugging (.660), on-base percentage (.517) and batting average (.420). He is tied for the team lead in runs (11), home runs (2) and RBI (12).

No. 7/11 Florida State (10-0)
  • Florida State comes in at No. 7 in the USA Today Coaches' Poll and sixth in the March 4 Baseball America Top 25 poll. They are No. 11 in the latest D1 Baseball Poll.
  • The Seminoles received a nation-high 494 points in Collegiate Baseball's latest NCAA Division I poll.
  • Florida State has outscored opponents by 81 runs while belting 20 home runs and 24 doubles.
  • FSU's defense has only permitted two errors and three stolen bags, while its pitching staff has fanned 104 to only 34 free passes.
  • Drew Mendoza has belted five home runs in 28 at bats for a 1.000 slugging percentage.
  • FSU's starter, left-handed pitcher Antonio Velez, is 2-0 with a 0.90 ERA across 10.0 frames of work.
