DeLAND. Fla. - North Florida baseball has been eliminated from the ASUN Championship tournament after suffering a high-scoring 14-11 loss to No. 3-seeded North Alabama from the Gold Division on Wednesday afternoon at Melching Field at Conrad Park.

The Ospreys caught an early lead in the opening frame with Mitchell Collins hitting an RBI single to score the first run. UNA responded in the bottom of the inning with an ambush of five runs, plus an extra in the second, to make it a 6-1 game.

UNF chipped into the UNA lead during the middle innings with Eric Fouraker driving in a run after putting the ball in play. Connor Moore followed with a two-run shot to left field to cut into the deficit for a 6-4 score.

Another run from the Lions was made in the bottom of the fifth inning to go up by seven runs. UNF quickly responded with a solo homer from James Oman, an RBI double from Moore and a fielder's choice score to make it a three-run ballgame.

After a sixth-inning homer from the Lions, the Ospreys brought the deficit back to within two runs in the eighth. With the bases loaded and no outs on the board, Cade Bush notched an RBI single paired for a couple sac-fly scores to make it a 13-11 advantage for UNA.

In the bottom of the eighth, North Alabama scored an insurance run for put the margin back up to three runs. Nick Monile was able to get on base with two outs in the ninth, but a foul out for the final batter ended the 2025 season for the Ospreys.
