JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The undefeated North Florida women's tennis team heads to NJIT to take on the Highlanders on Saturday at 2 p.m. at The Naimoli Family Athletic and Recreational Facility.Â

- Traveling to Newark is always a challenge as the Ospreys have to prepare to go to indoor courts. The Ospreys grabbed a 4-3 win at NJIT last season.
- North Florida is riding eight straight wins after sweeping Stetson on Saturday, March 23. It was the first time UNF shutout the Hatters in program history.
- Currently on a seven-match win streak, freshman Ana Paula Melilo owns a team-best 9-4 mark in singles play. She is 7-1 in her last eight matches and 17-9 overall on the year.
- Melilo has paired with Valendtina Mariotto in the No. 3 doubles spot to win five straight and post a 6-1 mark in that spot.
- Rafaela Gomez and Constanza Gorches have each won six consecutive singles matches in their respective spots. Gomez is 7-5 in dual matches, while Gorches is 6-2.
- Lucia Montano and Florencia Rossi own seven straight wins in the No. 2 doubles position including clinching the point for UNF against Stetson.
Against Our Opponent
- North Florida is 4-0 against NJIT in the two team's brief history.Â
- Last season, UNF bested NJIT, 4-3 in Newark. The Highlanders picked up the doubles point, but Gomez, Luise Intert and Valentina Mariotto grabbed wins before then-freshman Florencia Rossi battled back in the No. 6 spot to secure the victory.
- In the meetings prior to last season, the Ospreys had only given up one point to NJIT.

- 2019 Record: 12-4, 1-1Â ASUN
- 2018 Record: 8-11, 1-5 ASUN (missed ASUN tournament)
- Joleta Budiman currently leads the Highlanders with a 9-3 mark in dual play including a 7-3 record in the No. 1 spot.
- Shamika Dhar and Holly Matson are both undefeated in their respective positions in three and four.
- NJIT is coming off of a road loss at FGCU as NJIT only grabbed a win from Dhar in the No. 6 singles spot.
- In doubles play, Budiman and Matson are 12-2 on the season in No. 1, while Rafaella Sampaio and Mouna Bouzgarrou are 9-2 in the No. 2 position.
- The Highlanders opened ASUN action with a 4-3 home victory against Stetson on March 16.
