LEADERBOARD: Seniors Philip Knowles and Travis Trace each carded rounds in the 60s to finish opening day play at the Tar Heel Intercollegiate among the Top 10 while guiding the No. 13-ranked Ospreys to a third-place standing heading into Sunday's final round.Â

- Philip Knowles opened the day with a 4-under 68 before tallying a second round even-par 70 to rank second in medalist standings at 140
- Travis Trace ranks T10 (143) following rounds of 74 and 3-under 69
- Senior Jordan Batchelor also found his name among the Top 25 individuals after carding rounds of 75-72 for a 147 (T23)
- Junior Michael Mattiace shot rounds of 79-73 (152) and senior Andrew Alligood posted 79-76 (155) to round out the Osprey lineup in ties for 47th and 68th, respectively
