Doing it With the Strikeout
The Ospreys' had a remarkable night on the mound against Florida State. The first 11 Seminoles retired were all put down by strikeout. Seven UNF pitchers combined to fan 17, with six coming from senior
Trace Norkus in just 2.0 innings of work. The 17 K's broke a UNF - Division I record set March 4, 2016 against Pennsylvania. The UNF arms were bolstered by current minor leaguer, Bryan Baker, and his 11 strikeouts as they finished the night with 16.

Eddie Miller hasn't allowed a run through 12.1 innings of work to start the season. In six appearances the Ocala, Fla., native has garnered three saves, allowing only three hits and two walks while striking out 14. Miller didn't permit an earned run in his loss at Florida State.

Chris Berry has 95 walks for his career, good for tied for fifth all-time at UNF. The corner infielder has drawn eight walks this year to help in a .382 on-base percentage.

Austin Hurwitz has been on a tear to start the year. Hurwitz is leading the team with a .500 average (15-for-30), driving in seven runs while posting a .571 on-base percentage. The left-handed hitter has only been fanned four times, while walking four times.
