Setting the Table
What: UNF vs. Fordham (Four-game series)
Where: Harmon Stadium | Dusty Rhodes Field
When: Friday, Feb. 22 - Sunday, Feb. 24

Series History
  • This is the first-ever meeting between these two teams.
  • The last A-10 Conference team that the Ospreys faced was George Washington in 2016.

North Florida
  • The Ospreys are 3-1 overall with all three of their wins coming against SEC opponents.
  • UNF's three wins over SEC opponents are the most for the Ospreys in any one season.

Last Time Out
GAINESVILLE, Fla. - UNF scored early and often, clubbing three home runs behind a dominant bullpen to upend No. 3 Florida, 7-1, Wednesday, February 20. This is the second-highest ranked opponent that UNF has ever defeated after UNF's 10-5 defeat of Florida in 2012.

Johnny All Staff
The Ospreys sent six pitchers to the mound Wednesday against Florida. Together they combined to fan 11, allowing just eight hits, all of which were singles. Freshmen Ryan Jean and Zach Chappell made their UNF debuts in Gainesville.

Tanner Times Two
UNF hit three home runs against the Gators, and a Tanner hit two of them. Tanner May and Tanner Murphy both launched home runs to left, and Chris Berry provided an exclamation point to the night with a three-run blast in the ninth. The last time UNF hit three home runs in a game was April 14 of last season.

Weeks Showing No Weakness
Redshirt-senior Wes Weeks started as hot as any Osprey has in school history, going 7-for-7 to start the season. His seven consecutive hits ties a UNF record and is the first time it has occurred since Travis Martin did so for the Ospreys in 2008. Weeks is the fourth player to record such a feat in school history. Weeks finished the weekend 9-for-13, hitting .692 with three RBI and a home run.

mc"K"inley
Junior transfer Max McKinley took advantage of his first-career start as an Osprey, spinning seven innings of two-run ball while fanning eight to earn the win in UNF's 4-2 triumph against Missouri in the rubber match. The Santa Fe College transfer allowed only one earned run and needed only 86 pitches to get through seven innings.

The Tallahassee, Fla., native garnered ASUN Pitcher of the Week honors for his performance, the first such award for the Ospreys since Brad Deppermann earned it May 14 of last season.

Just Going for a Walk:
Senior Chris Berry has been patient at the plate throughout his career. The Seminole, Fla., native has already walked four times this season, including walking three times in game two of the series against Missouri. Berry has 91 walks for his career, good for third all-time in UNF Division - I history.

Fordham
  • The Rams make their first trip to UNF after going 0-3 in College Station against the Aggies last weekend.
  • Fordham was tabbed fourth of 13 teams in the A-10 Preseason Coaches Poll. They would receive one first place vote. All 13 teams make Atlantic 10 postseason play, which will be held at Fordham's Houlihan Park.
  • The Bronx, N.Y., school is coming off a 35-win year, tied for the second most in the modern day history of the program.
  • Fordham returns eight starters in the field and the majority of a staff that compiled 356 strikeouts a year ago.
