LEADERBOARD: Senior Philip Knowles continued his stellar play in his final season, matching the UNF program single round record with a 63 in Saturday's morning round at the Gator Invitational. Knowles finished the day tied for first in the medalist standings while carrying the No. 19-ranked Ospreys into a tie for fourth after day one.Â
FIRST TEE
- Philip Knowles' record matching opening round of 7-under 63 featured eight birdies including a span of four straight on the back nine | Carded an even-par 70 in the afternoon round to finish with a 36-hole total of 133
- Fellow senior Andrew Alligood joined Knowles in the Top 5, shooting rounds of 67-17 (138) to sit fifth place through two rounds of play
- Junior Michael Mattiace posted rounds of 72-73 for a T42 (145) followed by freshman Cody Carroll T53 (148) after rounds of 75-73
