Pigg's Points (Comments from Head Coach Jeff Pigg)
"Noah ran a fabulous race. He hung tough with a good field and when the pace slowed, he took the lead. He is on a mission to run fast. He works super hard and lives clean and is reaping the benefits. I'm really proud of his 3000m race. Anderson had a very nice return to the track after a severe running injury last year left him with a plate and screws in his ankle. He has been mature and done lots behind the scenes in his own rehab and cross training. He has also provided great support and leadership for the team. The men's mile saw several PRs. Those guys have all worked well together and it is nice to see their training translate to race performance. Jared led them with a PR and competed very well while running with confidence. He is really beginning to come into his own as a miler. Leo also ran a nice race and is doing some nice things and will continue to improve. Freshman Tim Doyle ran a little faster than his high school PR, which says a lot because he was a very good prep runner. He is transitioning to college well and has big things in his future. George Escobar blistered another 400 and just continues to improve his speed and do a great job. Spencer Shaw and Chris Robin also had strong runs and that is a credit to the coaching that Greg Krupa has given that group."
