
Softball Deepens Roster with Six Early Signees

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – North Florida softball adds six during the early signing period as announced by head coach Marcie Higgs.

Position: 3B
Club: Gold Coast Hurricanes 18U National
Club Coach: Marty Cooper
Notes: Four-year letterwinner for the Cowgirls, starting every game and hitting in position three… selected for the USA Junior Olympic (19U) selection trial games as a 16-year old… one of 42 girls from across the United States who was chosen to compete for a spot on the national Junior Olympic team… ranked as the Top 50 Class of 2020 HS Recruits from the state of Florida (Softball America)… Named All-Big Bend First Team Selection during the 2019 season… helped Madison County to just its second appearance at the state championship… led the Cowgirls in hits, home runs, slugging percentage, OPS%, and RBI as a junior… competed at the National (Gold Level) in Club Ball for the last two seasons… currently playing for Florida's premiere powerhouse team, The Gold Coast Hurricanes 18U National, coached by Marty Cooper… off the field she is a four-year Beta Club member and will graduate with her high school and associate arts degree
