COURSE REPORT: Sophomore Grace Gumpel led the North Florida women's cross country team with a 16th place finish at the Florida State Cross Country Invitational. The Ospreys finished fourth in a field of 24 teams in the 5k race.

FINISH LINE:

Grace Gumpel led UNF with 16th place finish, covering the 5k course in 18:11.8
Camryn Cooney (18:22.0) joined Gumpel in the Top 30 with a 22nd place finish
Raquel Lespasio closely followed Cooney with a 27th place finish and a time of 18:27.7
Lespasio, Sadie McLaughlin, Magnolia Lake, and Kate Overby all recorded PRs in Tallahassee

PIGG'S POINTS
"A bunch of our women ran personal bests today. Their progress is shining through now and it was exciting to compare today's results to what they ran in high school in the very same course. Grace ran controlled and finished strong over the last half of the race, she just keeps getting better. Camryn had another solid day and her consistency will lead to some big things. Raquel is having a real breakthrough this year and ran almost 90 seconds faster than she has ran in the past. Her dedication and desire is an inspiration to the girls and a boost we need in the lead pack. Sadie ran solid as well, she did a good job and we know there is a little more in her tank as we head to late season races." -- Head coach Jeff Pigg
