JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The North Florida Ospreys travel to Blacksburg, Va., to compete in the 2019 Virginia Tech Invitational this weekend.

Format for the Weekend
Prelims start at 10 a.m. each day, with the finals commencing at 6:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday evening. Sunday's prelims will be timed finals and time trials start immediately after the preliminary round Sunday morning. NCAA events will be included on the final day.
Finals will feature two heats, a consolation heat (places 9-16) as well as a final title heat (places 1-8).
The Field
The invitational features five including North Florida. The Ospreys are joined by host Virginia Tech (21), South Carolina (24), James Madison and Towson.
Making a Splash
- UNF competed at the same invitational last season, its first trip to this competition.
- Sophomore Morgan Bentley posted a personal best in the 100 free last season at Virginia Tech, touching the wall in 57.23.
- UNF competed against JMU, South Carolina, Towson, Virginia Tech and William & Mary a year ago.
- Sarah Joram secured the 100 breaststroke (1:10.97) and UNF claimed the 400 free relay although North Florida came up short at Campbell January 19. The Ospreys had six other swimmers earn second place times in Buies Creek.
Looking Ahead
Another big stretch of swimming awaits when UNF heads to Lynchburg for the CCSA Championships Wednesday, Feb. 20 - Saturday, Feb. 23. Liberty University will host the action each of the four days.
