The Ospreys grabbed wins from its three doubles pair as all will advance to the quarterfinals on Saturday. To kick off singles play, senior Sahil Deshmukh took down his opponent from Florida State to advance to the Round of 16, but unfortunately had to withdraw due to injury.
Despite dropping their opening matches, Till Von Winning and Dominik Barton each responded in the consolation brackets to come back with two-set wins to move on to the semifinals.
In the second flight of singles, sophomores Joe Ellis and Nilo Duarte won back-to-back matches to advance to the semifinals.
Play begins at 8:30 a.m. with doubles matches on Saturday.
