OPENING TEE:Â The North Florida women's golf team notched a Top 5 finish in its season opener, earning a tie for fifth in the Lady Paladin Invitational on Sunday. The Ospreys carded a final round 292 led by even-par final rounds from juniors Teresa Conroy and Sydney Shrader.
ON THE GREEN
- Junior Teresa Conroy closed out a strong performance in the opening event, shooting a final round even-par 72 to finish T6 at 215
- Fellow junior Sydney Shrader saved her best for last, carding a season best even-par 72 on Sunday en route to a T30 (221) finish
- Freshman Liss Davalos finished tied with Shrader in 30th following a final round 75
- Sophomore Mindy Herrick collected her weekend best 73 to earn a T39 (224)
- Junior Natalia Rivera rounded out the Osprey lineup in 88th at 247 after a round of 82
