The Leaderboard: For the fifth time in the program's history, the North Florida Men's Golf has advanced to the NCAA DI Championship tournament after playing the final five holes in 6-under during Wednesday's final round action in the NCAA Norman (Okla.) Regional at Jimmie Austin OU Golf Club. The Ospreys finished co-runner up as a team with a trio of players among the Top 12 led by junior Travis Trace, who captured the individual medalist title.
FIRST TEE
- Junior Travis Trace matched the low round of the regional, carding a final round 7-under 65 to finish with medalist winning total of 11-under 205. The tournament win marked the first of Trace's career
- Senior Dillon Woods carded a final round 2-under 70 en route to finishing T7 with a 54-hole total of 5-under 211
- Junior Andrew Alligood shot a 1-under 71, marking his second round under-par of the week, and collected a T12 finish at 2-under 214
- Junior Philip Knowles tallied a final round 74 to finish with a three round total of 224 (T50)
- Rounding out the Osprey lineup, sophomore Michael Mattiace finished 64th (230) following his final round 76 on Wednesday
- North Florida finished tied for second with No. 39 BYU with a tournament total of 13-under 851, just one shot behind regional champion and host No. 3 Oklahoma at 850. No. 10 Auburn and No. 15 Arkansas joined the group of teams advancing to the NCAA Championship
