Men's Tennis Stays Undefeated in ASUN Action

DeLAND, Fla. – North Florida men's tennis bounced back from a 2-0 deficit to defeat Stetson, 5-2, on the road and stay undefeated in ASUN action on Saturday afternoon.
QUICK HITS
- UNF gave up the doubles point as the Ospreys took just three combined points in the No. 2 and No. 3 positions.
- Stetson then took a 2-0 lead as the top player won in two sets.
- That was all that was left for the Hatters though as UNF won the remaining singles matches to take the win.
- Sahil Deshmukh grabbed the first singles victory in the No. 3 spot and Till Von Winning tied the match with his victory in the No. 4 position.
- Freshman Joe Ellis took down Collin MacNamara to take care of business in the sixth match before senior Lasse Muscheites came back from a tough second set to take down Loic Blanco, 6-4, 0-6, 6-3.
- North Florida is now 2-0 in ASUN action and move to 8-6 overall. Stetson drops to 12-3.

"We had a good result today against a quality Stetson team. We were awful in doubles. No energy, focus or commitment and the results showed that. I challenged the guys during the break to remember who we are. I am proud of how they responded in a hostile environment. We still have areas to improve and I look forward to getting back to work Monday and Tuesday before a tough road trip to NJIT and USC Upstate." - Head Coach Matt Lucas.
