The Short Story: The North Florida men's golf team opened its spring season with an even-par 280 first round in the morning session before struggling with an afternoon round of 287 on day one play of the Sea Best Invitational at TPC Sawgrass Dye's Valley.
FIRST TEE
- Junior Jordan Batchelor, playing as an individual, posted the Ospreys best showing of day one notching rounds of 66-72 to rank T-10th at 2-under 138
- Junior Travis Trace led the UNF travel team, finishing the day T-17th at 1-under 139 (69-70)
- Senior Dillon Woods also ended the day in the Top 20, ranking T-20 at even-par 140 (69-71)
- Junior Philip Knowles was the third Osprey with an under-par opening round 69 (-1), but closed the day with a 74 to sit T-37th
- Junior Andrew Alligood (73-75) and sophomore Michael Mattiace (76-72) rounded out the UNF lineup T-55th at 148
