LAST WORD
"I feel like this was a microcosm of the first meeting of the season with them. I'm not sure where I failed these guys or did a bad job helping them understand not just the atmosphere but what and how they were going to do things. I thought we got comfortable and complacent and they kept coming. I thought their toughness really showed through. I thought when we tied it late, they responded with a bunch of toughness plays and a couple of offensive rebounds. When a senior on their team gets a triple-double with 16 assists and 12 rebounds, that's impressive. That's how you win games that our for things like third place. This was almost like a tournament game or it was a tournament game because a win gives you home court advantage. To their credit, those guys stepped up. I thought we quit getting stops like we had been getting and their offensive rebounds hurt us at that point. They just kept coming at us and we didn't have an answer." -- Head coach Matthew Driscoll
