The Short Story: South Carolina plated three runs in the final four innings to top the North Florida baseball team, 5-2, on Tuesday at Founders Park.
LEADING OFF
- Raff Libuano, Tanner Murphy, Wesley Weeks and Mac Wilson and all extended their reached base streak to four to lead the team.
- Murphy and Weeks have also now had a hit in every game this season.
- In his first action of the season, Dalton Board went 2-for-2 with an RBI and a run scored, while Jay Prather went 2-for-3 with an RBI.
- The Ospreys have scored two or more runs in nine of the 11 innings they scored on the year.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Jacob Olson started the scoring off in the second inning with a solo home run to left field.
- Two innings later, Justin Row singled up the middle that brought home LT Tolbert from second base.
- The Ospreys got on the scoreboard in the fifth inning with three hits to right field. Wilson started the rally before scoring from second on the hit from Board. Prather tied the game with the third hit in the inning scoring Board.
- With two runners on base, Olson drove an RBI single to right field to give the Gamecocks their second lead of the game.
- Chris Cullen extended the lead in the seventh inning when he walked with the bases loaded.
- With two outs in the eighth inning, Noah Campbell tripled to left center field before he scored on the double by TJ Hopkins down the left field line.
