Men's Tennis Finishes Day 1 at ITA Regionals

ATHENS, Ga. - North Florida men's tennis opened the first day of the ITA Southeast Regionals at the University of Georgia with the qualifying rounds.
Federico Nani, Nilo Duarte and Joe Ellis all competed in the qualifiers, but fell to the consolation bracket. Play picks up on Saturday morning at 8:30 a.m. with the Round of 32.Â
The main draw of singles also gets underway with Dominik Barton kicking off the morning against Britton Johnston of the host Bulldogs. Jorge Nunez follows suit with Georgia's Alex Diaz at 10 a.m., while Till Von Winning faces Iva Yatsuk from USF at 11 a.m. Senior Sahil Deshmukh wraps up the main draw competition at noon.
Doubles play begins in the afternoon.
