LEADERBOARD: A trio of North Florida men's golfers carded rounds under par led by seniors Jordan Batchelor and Philip Knowles helped push the Ospreys to a second-place standing after opening round play in the Quail Valley Intercollegiate.
FIRST TEE
- Senior Jordan Batchelor notched his best round of the fall, carding a 3-under 69 to sit in a T6
- Fellow senior Philip Knowles matched Batchelor's opening round performance with a 69 of his own
- Senior Travis Trace joined his teammates with an under-par total, shooting a 2-under 70 for a T11
- Junior Michael Mattiace is T22 after a first round even-par 72, while freshman Cody Carroll rounded out the UNF lineup with a 76 (T59)
- The Ospreys carded an 8-under 280 to trail tournament leader Arkansas State (279) by a single shot
