JACKSONVILLE -- Former North Florida basketball standout Dallas Moore begins his professional playing career in mid-August after signing a one-year contract to join Vuella Pesaro of the Italian League.

Moore, who as the team's all-time leading scorer and most decorated player in UNF program history, signed with Pesaro, a first division team in Italy, following a solid showing at the recently concluded NBA Las Vegas Summer League season. He closed summer league play with the Denver Nuggets scoring 16 points in 19 minutes against the New Orleans Pelicans.

The two-time ASUN Player of the Year and a three-time All-ASUN selection, Moore completed an historic four-year career with the Ospreys that included back-to-back Atlantic Sun Conference titles and a pair of national postseason tournament appearances. In addition, Moore twice garnered NABC All-District 1st-team honors, AP All-American honorable mention and Lou Henson Award Finalist status. He finished his career ranked as the UNF program leader in scoring (2,437), FGM (904), FGA (1870), Assists (551), Games Played (135) and Games Started (135). Moore also finished second all-time in scoring in the ASUN and ended his career as the all-time leading scorer for the state of Florida Division I programs.

As a senior, Moore led the ASUN in scoring at 23.9 points per game and ended the year ranked 4th nationally in scoring. He also set a new single season scoring record for the ASUN and UNF with 812 points this year. Moore reached double figures in 33 of 34 games played this season including 21 games with 20 or more and 10 with more than 30 points. He scored a career best 39 against Lipscomb during the regular season and added 37 versus the Bisons in the ASUN Tournament semifinals. He also led the league in three-pointers made and was listed among the conference leaders in assists and steals.

SAY WHAT...
"Throughout his playing career, Dallas has consistently been asked to prove himself but the reality is that he is and always has been a 'Baller', no matter what team uniform he has worn. He is the classic example of a winner who embraces every opportunity with work and effort. Dallas knows and understands to just do his best and control what he can control. We have shared many times with him that basketball studies have shown that players usually peak around 27-years old so his game is only going to get better. This continued growth and improvement will allow him to be even more prepared for his next opportunity. We are excited to see him earn this first professional contract and looking forward to following his success and growth as a player and person." -- Head coach Matthew Driscoll
