Baseball Heads to Stetson for Final Road Series

DELAND, Fla. -- The North Florida baseball team takes to the road for back-to-back road ASUN Conference series for the first and only time this season when they travel to Stetson for the second-last series of the regular season.

NOTEWORTHY
- Ospreys opened the 2017 season with 26 of first 32 games at home including seven consecutive weekends of home series... This weekend's Stetson series marks UNF's first and only back-to-back road ASUN series of the year.
- UNF dropped its first weekend series of the season against USC Upstate (May 5-7). The Ospreys have series sweeps of Penn (Mar. 3-5), NJIT (Apr. 13-15) and FGCU (Apr. 21-23)... The Ospreys split both of their four-game series this year against Northeastern and Rutgers
- North Florida has claimed the opening game in 8 of their 11 weekend series so far this year.
- UNF has been most explosive in the 2nd inning (45 runs)... Ospreys are outscoring opponents 88-43 over the first two innings of games
- Ospreys have held 15 opponents under 3 runs scored, owning an 13-2 record when accomplishing that feat

They are second in Slug%, On Base%...  On the Mound, UNF leads the conference in ERA, runs allowed and runners picked off, second in earned runs allowed and doubled allowed... UNF also features the top fielding team in the conference and have committed the fewest errors
- Three Ospreys are ranked in ASUN Top 10 for hitting: Patrick Ervin (2nd), Yahir Gurrola (5th) and Chris Thibideau (8th).. Gurrola tops the league charts in Hits, Runs, RBI, Doubles and Total Bases and is second Slug%... Thibideau is second in Double and Total Bases.
-FACE THE NATION: UNF is currently listed in NCAA Top 50 for Hits (17th), Batting Avg (22nd), Doubles (T26th), ERA (39th) and Runs (T45th)... Gurrola ranks T14th in runs and T20th in hits, T21th in total bases and T30th in Doubles... Thibideau is T47th in Doubles.
