The Short Story: The North Florida Track & Field team closed the prestigious Pepsi Florida Relay with some historic relay team performances on Saturday afternoon. The men's Distance Medley Relay (DMR) quartet earned the event title against an highly competitive field while the men's 4x800m group set a new school record mark.

THE FINISH LINE
- In a major accomplishment for the UNF Track & Field program, the relay team of Tyler Stahl, Desmond Robb, Rayford James and Brad Hort claimed the event crown with a time of 9:57.28 in the DMR
- Earlier in the meet, the Osprey quartet of Chris Robin, Sem Sultanov, Constantine Stathis and Cristian Acuna blazed to a program best time of 7:36.43 in the 4x800m relay
- In the women's 4x800m race, the quartet of Skye Zeller, Vanessa Philbert, Hallie Grimes and Morgan Rodriguez posted a 7th place finish with a time of 8:59.68

- Women's high jumper Alyssa Young continued her strong performances earning a tie for second finish with a leap of 1.68m (5-06.00)

"Today we wrapped up a long three day meet in Gainesville with a number of good performances. We look forward to having another good week of practice and competing at home next weekend. It was a real accomplishment for our guys to win the DMR against a very good field of teams. I'm not positive but it might be the first ever relay title for the UNF program at the Florida Relays." -- Head coach Jeff Pigg
