The Short Story: A group of five North Florida distance runners got things started for the Ospreys racing the 5000m on the opening night of competition at the Pepsi Florida Relays. Senior Brad Hort netted the top performance finishing 5th in a PR time of 14:30.

THE FINISH LINE
- In the women's 5000m, a pair of Ospreys made their event debuts as freshman Brittany Lang finished with a time of 17:28 (16th) and sophomore Audrey Carpenter ran a 17:51 (26th)
- On the men's side, senior Brad Hort trimmed 15 seconds off his PR time en route to a 5th-place finish with a time of 14:30. Freshman Noah Perkins made his event debut, running a time of 14:52 (24th) and senior Michael Damato clocked a time of 15:06 (32nd)
