Men's Basketball Opens Home Stand Saturday vs Stetson

UNF Arena will host basketball game on Feb. 4 between UNF and Stetson

JACKSONVILLE – The North Florida basketball team opens up a three-game home stand against in-state foe Stetson on Saturday at 7 p.m. The Ospreys are looking to snap a current three-game skid and earn the program's 300th victory.

THE SERIES: North Florida leads 13-12 
LAST MEETING: Stetson earned its 2nd straight win over the Ospreys last Saturday with an 88-74 decision in the Edmunds Center... Game featured 5 ties and 6 lead changes... UNF held a 41-32 halftime lead but Hatters rallied with 56 second half points, the most surrendered in a half this season by the Ospreys, to collect the win... Chris Davenport led UNF with 26 pts/12 rebs double-double... Derick Newton finished with 26 for Stetson along with 19 (17 in 2nd half) from Luke Doyle, while Divine Myles chipped in double-double (16 pts/11 rebs)

- North Florida dropped a disappointing 74-59 decision at FGCU on Monday in Ft. Myers. UNF was led by 20 points from Chris Davenport and 17 by Dallas Moore
- Stetson stepped out of ASUN Conference play and picked up a 76-67 road victory over Bethune-Cookman. The Hatters lost 89-86 to Jacksonville on Monday night in their last conference contest.
