KENNESAW, Ga. - North Florida women's basketball battled for 40 minutes but came up just short in a tough 52-48 loss at Kennesaw State on Saturday afternoon. A trio of Ospreys reached double figures led by 11 points each for Jaiveonna Norris and Adrienne Jackson.

- Simone Brown also reached double figures for UNF netting 10 points to go along with her team best 5 assists
- Tesh Hanson recorded 4 blocked shots in the contest while Maiya Rumph collected 4 steals
- Kelly Dulkoski hit 5 three-pointers in leading Kennesaw State with 15 points followed by 11 points and 12 rebounds for Allison Johnson

- Kennesaw State opened game with a pair of treys and held a 15-11 lead at end of first quarter.Â
- Midway through the second quarter, Adrienne Jackson sparked UNF scoring 7 consecutive points to help Ospreys earn first lead of the game following her three-pointer.
- UNF was a perfect 7-7 from the FT line in the first half
- Ospreys got a steal by Norris with :05 left in the quarter that led to final buzzer beating basket as Norris hit Simone Brown who found Hanson at the basket for the layup and a 28-26 lead at intermission
- The game was tied twice and there were 7 lead changes over the final 5 minutes of the second quarter.
- North Florida struggled offensively early in the third quarter, making just one field goal for the first six minutes... Kennesaw State capitalized on the Osprey drought using an 8-2 run to regain the lead.
- Both defenses stepped up in the closing minutes of the third stanza as neither team scored a point over the final two minutes.
- The stingy defense continued at start of fourth period with teams combining for just 7 points through the first 5:30 minutes of play
