Men's Tennis Heads to ITA Regionals

ATLANTA - North Florida men's tennis heads to the 2017 ITA Southeast Regional presented by Oracle this weekend with the main draw beginning on Saturday, Oct. 14 and running through Tuesday, Oct. 17.

GENERAL INFO:

What: 2017 ITA Southeast Regional Championships Presented by Oracle
Who: Student-athletes from 16 schools will compete in a singles and doubles tournament.
When: Friday – Tuesday, Oct. 13-17
Where: Byers Tennis Complex, Atlanta, Ga.
Parking: Parking for fans will be available in the McCamish Parking Lot, opposite Byers Tennis Complex on Fowler Street and is accessible by 8th Street.
Tickets: Admission is free of charge

OSPREYS ON THE COURT:

The Ospreys feature four players in the main draw of the singles and two teams in the doubles tournament.
Sahil Deshmukh and Till Von Winning will be a doubles pair in addition to No. 23 Lasse Muscheites and Jefta Kecic.

OPPONENTS

Kecic learns his opponent after the qualifying bracket on Friday.
Von Winning takes on Elijah Melendez from Georgia Tech, while his doubles partner faces Andy Andrade (Florida).
In the final singles match, Muscheites plays Alex Knaff of Florida State.
Von Winning and Deshmukh play Fedrico Nani and Illya Skoromnyy of Florida A&M in the opening round of doubles play.
Muscheites and Kecic earned a first-round bye and will take on either Linus Bergevi/Colter Decoste (Steston) or Pablo Aycart/Jake Kuhlman (Miami)

WHAT'S AT STAKE:

Champions from the singles and doubles main draw tournaments from each of the 12 ITA Regional Championships receive an automatic entry into the 2017 Oracle/ITA National Fall Championships.
The 2017 Oracle/ITA National Fall Championships will be held Nov. 1-5 in Palm Desert, Calif.
