SAY WHAT...
"This was an exciting and competitive college basketball game and that is exactly what you'd expect when you have two teams battling for first place in conference play. It was a game that came down to the final possessions. Have to give FGCU credit as they had some guys make some huge shots when they needed it. I thought our guys battled and really did a good job of playing without Dallas for a good length of time, because he was in foul trouble for the first time this season. I did a bad job late in the game by not calling a timeout because I put Dallas in a bad position. He is a gifted player that is hard to defend and I should have set something up for him. We have to unfortunately learn from a loss but continue to grow and be ready to play again Saturday versus a good Stetson team." -- Head coach Matthew Driscoll
NEXT UP
- The Ospreys tip off a quick two-game road trip Saturday against Stetson at 4 p.m. in the Edmund Center. UNF then visits FGCU for a rematch on Monday night (Jan. 30).
