Ospreys Host FGCU Wednesday in Battle of ASUN Leaders

JACKSONVILLE – The North Florida basketball team hosts in-state rival FGCU on Wednesday night at UNF Arena in a battle between a pair of the ASUN Conference leaders. The game also wraps up the Ospreys current three-game home stand. The game is sponsored by Pepsi.

LAST MEETING: FGCU claimed the rubber-match between the rivals last season handing the Ospreys a 89-56 defeat in an ASUN semifinal game played at UNF Arena... Eagles outrebounded UNF, 49-24, and held the Ospreys to just 30% shooting including 8-31 from the arc... Dallas Moore had 15 pts to pace UNF while Marc-Eddy Norelia finished with 23 pts/13 rebs to lead FGCU

LAST TIME OUT...
- North Florida outlasted visiting Lipscomb, 90-84, to win its third straight home game and fifth win in the last six games overall. Dallas Moore finished just shy of his career high scoring 36 points, while Chris Davenport chipped in 15 points along with 11 each from Garrett Sams and Aaron Bodager. Ospreys overcame a halftime deficit to build a double-digit lead in the second half but a late Bisons surge kept the game close to the end. 
-FGCU rebounded from their first ASUN loss of the season with an 84-71 home victory over NJIT. Four Eagles reached double digits led by 21 points by Brandon Goodwin.

- Today's game marks the 24th all-time meeting on the hardwood between UNF and FGCU... Eagles hold a slim 13-10 lead after winning twice last year
