Pro Basketball Career Begins Saturday for Beau Beech

LAS VEGAS -- Former North Florida basketball standout Beau Beech will tip off his professional playing career on Saturday afternoon when he suits up for the Brooklyn Nets in the NBA's Las Vegas Summer League competition.

Beech, an All-ASUN performer, signed a free agent contract with the Nets following the recently completed NBA Draft. The Las Vegas Summer League features 24 teams with each squad playing three scheduled games followed by a seeded single-elimination tournament.

Beech and the rest of his Brooklyn summer league teammates get things started against the NBA Champion Cleveland Cavaliers at 1:30 p.m. (4:30 p.m. ET) in UNLV's Thomas & Mack Center. Many Las Vegas Summer League games are slated to be carried or streamed by a member of the ESPN Broadcast Family (ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN3, ESPNU or Watch ESPN app) or NBA TV.
