JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Head Coach Robin Confer announced the hiring of Josh Schirmer as the assistant women's soccer coach. Since the spring, Schirmer had previously been serving as the program's volunteer assistant.
Schirmer began working with the Ospreys this past spring on a volunteer basis after three seasons at NJCAA power Eastern Florida State College.
"We are excited to promote Josh to a full time assistant coach," said Confer. "Since he joined us early in the spring he made an immediate impact with our players and team. His knowledge of the game, experience and work ethic will help us fulfill our goals as a program. He is a proven recruiter and has a lot of international connections that will bring another dimension to our team. "
While at EFSC, his teams ranked in the top five nationally three times, including the country's No. 2 overall ranking in 2015.
