Rattler Resurgence: Through 23 games this year, Florida A&M is just six wins shy of its win total a year ago. A big part of the FAMU success thus far has been its offensive productivity. As a team they rank in the top 10 nationally in batting average (.331) scoring (8.7 runs/game) and hits (274). The Rattlers are 5-1 so far through Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference play with series wins over Bethune-Cookman and Savannah State. Second baseman Alex Wong is leading the team with a .416 batting average and 28 runs scored.
Weekend Recap: The Rattlers dropped two of three against fellow Atlantic Sun Conference foe, FGCU this past weekend. Florida A&M salvaged the series with a 14-9, game two victory in Friday's doubleheader. Designated hitter Shane Gordon drove in five runs and was 2-for-3 with a home run in the 14-run Rattler outburst.
