Bethune-Cookman: Conference play began in an unfavorable manner for the Wildcats this past weekend as they were swept by Florida A&M in Tallahassee. Bethune-Cookman comes into Tuesday's contest having lost seven of their last 10 games. The Wildcats were outscored 22-7 against Florida A&M. Michael Cruz (.352) and Jameel Edney (.321) are the lone hitter with 30 or more at bats and batting averages above .300. Edney and Danny Rodriguez lead the team with 11 RBIs each.
South Florida: Like the Ospreys, the Bulls are riding high thanks to a series sweep that included a pair of walk-off winners. USF took all three from Holy Cross at home and snapped a three-game losing streak in the process. The Bulls prevailed 3-2 in 15-inning marathon in the series opener on Friday night. A Duke Stunkel Jr. sacrifice fly plated the game-winning run. RHP Tommy Eveld earned American Conference Pitcher of the Week honors after 7.0 innings of relief in Friday's contest. The Bulls have struck out 177 times this season and the Ospreys will once again be tested on the basepaths with speedster Luke Maglich. The outfielder is third in the country with 13 stolen bases this season.
