
Friday's Match Closes Homestand for @OspreyWTen

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – North Florida women's tennis closes its three-match homestand on Friday, Feb. 5 versus Division II Flagler at 11 a.m. at the UNF Tennis Courts.
The Ospreys look to bounce back after a loss against No. 35 Florida State Jan. 30. Flagler is also coming off a loss in an exhibition match versus Iowa State. UNF is heading into the match 1-1, while Flagler will be playing its first official dual match of the season.
UNF shut out South Carolina State 4-0 in the team's home opener before dropping a 4-1 decision against No. 35 Florida State on Jan. 30. North Florida grabbed the doubles point in an exciting tiebreaker in the No. 2 position with Luise Intert and Rafaela Gomez coming back to win 7-6 (5) after Florida State tied the match.
The No. 3 duo of Michelle Valdez and Hanna Fluhrer picked up the opening victory, 6-3 to give UNF the early lead. Then the 41st-ranked doubles team of Danieka Borthwick and Yukako Noi tied the match with a 7-5 win in the No. 1 position before the Ospreys clinched their lone point of the match.
North Florida last faced off against Flagler in 2005 at the UNF Tennis Complex, which ended in a 9-0 victory for the Ospreys.
