Game Notes (pdf)JACKSONVILLE -- The top-seeded North Florida basketball team hosts No. 8-seed USC Upstate in a quarterfinal match-up of the Atlantic Sun Conference Tournament on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. in UNF Arena. The game will be carried on ESPN3 and 92.5 FM. The Ospreys (21-10, 10-4 ASun) enter the postseason riding a three-game win streak. UNF captured the program's second straight regular season conference title and now turn their attention to seeking a second consecutive ASun Tournament crown.USC Upstate (10-21, 4-10) edged NJIT in their season finale, 72-71, to snap a two-game skid. The Spartans dropped five of their last seven game including a hard fought 81-78 decision to the Ospreys on Feb. 20 in UNF Arena.The game is a rematch of last year's Atlantic Sun Conference championship game that saw the Ospreys outlast Upstate, 63-57. The duo also faced each other in the opening round of the 2014 conference tournament at the Hodge Center in Spartanburg, S.C.North Florida is led by Atlantic Sun Player of the Year, Dallas Moore, Defensive Player of the Year, Demarcus Daniels, and fellow first-team all-conference selection Beau Beech. The Spartans lineup boast second-team All-ASun performer Michael Buchanan and All-Freshman team honoree, Deion Holmes.
The winner of the North Florida-USC Upstate contest will face the winner of FGCU-Kennesaw State in Thursday's semifinal round.
