No. 34 Clemson Claws Past @OspreyWTen

CLEMSON, S.C. - No. 34 Clemson pushed past North Florida women's tennis with two three-set victories as it won the match, 5-2, on Friday afternoon at the Hoke Sloan Tennis Center.Â
In doubles action, the Tigers didn't waste any time grabbing the point. They won in the No. 2 spot, 6-1, and No. 3, 6-2.
Clemson continued its hot streak with a 6-1, 6-0 victory from No. 13 Joana Eidukonyte in the No. 3 singles match to make it a 2-0 lead. Freshman Rafaela Gomez then won in the No. 5 spot to close the gap, 2-1. The Tigers' Jenny Moinard wrapped up a win in the No. 6 spot next before Luise Intert put another point on the board for UNF. Intert won, 1-6, 7-6 (1), 6-4 to make it 3-2.Â
After picking up opening set wins against nationally-ranked players, both Noemi Hemmerich in the No. 1 spot and Michelle Valdez in the No. 2 spot dropped the next two sets to give the Tigers the win.
The Ospreys now take a short break to prepare for former Atlantic Sun foe, ETSU. The Lady Bucs come to town on Thursday, March 10 at 11:30 a.m.
