
Travis Trace Leads Men's Golf with Career Low 66 at Ka'anapali Classic

LAHAINE, Hawaii -- Sophomore Travis Trace fired a career-low matching 66 in helping the North Florida men's golf team stay among the leading teams at the Ka'anapali Collegiate Classic on Saturday.
Trace's record setting performance, which featured six birdies and an eagle, saw him climb into a tie for 12th with a 36 hole tally of 138. Fellow sophomore Andrew Alligood also finished under-par on day two carding a 2-under 69 to rank tied for 16th at 140.
Sophomore Philip Knowles is tied for 31st (143) after a second round 73 while junior Dillon Woods is tied for 69th (148) following his second straight 74. Senior Osten Waite rounded out the Osprey lineup with a 75 to rank tied for 89th (150).

In the team competition, No. 15 Georgia used an 18-under 266 on Saturday to move atop the leaderboard with a score of 550. No. 13 LSU is second at 560 followed by No. 7 Oklahoma in third at 561. Three teams are tied for fourth at 562, No. 24 Clemson, No. 37 Kansas and No. 39 South Carolina.
Tournament action at the Ka'anapali Classic concludes with a final round Sunday beginning with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. HST (1:30 p.m. EST). North Florida will play alongside UC Santa Barbara, South Carolina and Kansas
