
Men's Tennis Preps for ITA Regionals

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida men's tennis is back in action again as six players head to Florida State to take part in the ITA Southeast Regional beginning on Thursday, Oct. 20.
QUALIFYING
Dominic Lea, Jonathan Deautriell, Zach Goldberg and Sahil Deshmukh all play in the qualifying singles bracket.Â
Goldberg earned a bye and will face the winner of Deshmukh and UCF's Saitejas Mopuri at 1 p.m. Deshmukh takes on the Knights player at 9 a.m. on Thursday.
Deautriell also earned a bye into the second round where he will take on Eddie Landin of Georgia Southern.
MAIN DRAW
The main draw takes place on Friday and features Jack Findel-Hawkins, Lasse Muscheites and Jefta Kecic.Â
Kecic faces No. 73 Carlos Benito from Georgia Tech, while Muscheites takes on another from the Georgia schools in Emil Reinberg of the Univeristy of Georgia who is ranked 109.Â
Findel-Hawkins closes out the opening round main draws against a familiar foe in Fermin Calvo from Kennesaw State. Valvo played a season at Miami before transferring to KSU.

FINNEGAN'S THOUGHTS
"We are excited to compete at the regional and ours is always one of the toughest in the country," said head coach Mark Finnegan. "There are going to be lots of challenges for the guys, but we have been doing a great job of having a purpose at our practices. We have really prepared the right way to be successful this weekend so I am excited to see how it all plays out."
