Moving On- Findel-Hawkins Heads to Round of 16

MALIBU, Calif. - North Florida men's tennis senior Jack Findel-Hawkins continued with his strong play as he advanced to the Round of 16 at the Oracle/ITA Master's at Pepperdine University on Thursday afternoon.
In the next round, Findel-Hawkins has a tough opponent in the No. 1 seeded Yuya Ito (Texas) who is top ranked player in the ITA's preseason rankings.Â
The Osprey took down Pepperdine's Lautaro Pane, 6-4, 6-2. Findel-Hawkins recorded three aces during his sets and was 5-for-5 on game points.
Ito defeated Quinnipiac's Kei Ezaka, 6-2, 6-4 in the opening round.Â
The second round of men's matches will be played after the women's singles matches which begin at 11 a.m. PST.
