Beau Beech claimed the Atlantic Sun Player of the Week honor after posting a pair of strong performances last week. Against Kennesaw, Beech scored a career best 33 points after posting his first double-double (21 pts/10 rebs) of the season in UNF's win over Lipscomb.Junior

Junior Chris Davenport has collected a double-double in four of the last five games and is averaging a double-double in conference play with 13.8 ppg and 11.0 rpg. Senior Trent Mackey ranks second in the nation for three-pointers made having connected on 73 this season.USC Upstate (7-13, 1-2) will be making their home debut in conference play after opening season with three straight road contests. The Spartans edged NJIT at the buzzer in their league opener before dropping games against Stetson and FGCU. Freshman Deion Holmes leads Upstate in scoring at 13.2 points per game. The Spartans are 5-5 at home this season and have won five straight.After Thursday's clash with the Spartans, North Florida concludes its current road swing Saturday in Newark, N.J., against league newcomer NJIT.
