TAMPA, Fla. – No. 52 University of North Florida men's tennis rebound on Day Two of the USF Spring Break Invitational with a 4-0 shutout of Furman in the consolation semifinals on Saturday at the USF Varsity Tennis Courts. UNF now advances to Sunday's consolation finals at Noon against No. 25 Drake.

"I'm really proud of the guys today and their performance," said head coach Mark Finnegan. "We had some great individual efforts in singles. We talked about being better competitors today and we executed that very well. Now, we get a shot at a Top-25 Drake team tomorrow."

UNF earned the doubles point with wins at the No. 1 and No. 2 spots. Caio Gomes and Yannick Zuern powered their way to a 6-2 victory over Ben Horst and Jacob Behal at No. 2 doubles for the first doubles match win. No. 68 Jack Findel-Hawkins and Norbert Nemcsek held on for a 6-4 victory against Adam Steryous and Cameron Green at the No. 1 court as UNF clinched doubles point.

The Ospreys then added three singles wins. Alberto De Meo picked up the first singles win of the match, downing Luke Synn 6-3, 6-3. A Caio Gomes win at No. 1 singles put UNF up 3-0. Gomes cruised to a 6-0, 6-2 triumph over Steryous. Julian Bradley's 6-1, 6-2 victory on the No. 4 court against Behal was the match-winning point.
