JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – No. 69 University of North Florida men's tennis posted another shutout of a nationally-ranked opponent, surging past No. 67 UCF 4-0 in front of a large, energetic crowd on chilly Friday afternoon at the UNF Tennis Complex.

"Today was a momentous day for the program," said head coach Mark Finnegan. "We had a great crowd and it was a fantastic day. I cannot thank all of the fans for coming and cheering us to a great win. We had everyone here from all walks of the tennis community and had tremendous support from our International Day. Today is what college tennis is all about."

UNF got out to a quick 1-0 lead after capturing the doubles point. Jack Findel-Hawkins and Norbert Nemcsek provided the Ospreys with the first doubles win of the day, cruising past Chris Barrus and Inaki Espindola 6-2 at No. 1 doubles. Lasse Muscheites and Zach Goldberg sealed the doubles point for UNF with a 6-3 triumph over Francesc Aulina and Reece Acree at No. 2 doubles.

In singles, No. 70 Findel-Hawkins got a quick 6-1, 6-0 victory over Aulina in the No. 1 spot to put UNF up 2-0. Zach Goldberg's win at No. 6 singles gave the Ospreys a three-point advantage. Goldberg powered past Jesse Flores 6-0, 6-3. Nemcsek clinched the match's final point with a 6-2, 6-4 victory against Espindola at No. 3 singles.

UNF returns to action on Sunday when the Ospreys host Furman. Match time is set for Noon. Admission is free for all UNF men's tennis home matches.
